Youth With Purpose provided me with opportunities that helped me value and practice community service, academic scholarship and effective leadership.  Activities such as visits to the Hillhaven Assisted Living, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, peer tutoring, and motivatinal presentations by various guest speakers have been inspiring.

With the help of Youth With Purpose, I was one of several Prince Georges County 2013 Gates Millennium Scholarship recipients.  I am currently a rising third year and pre-med student at the University of Virginia studying Cognitive Science with a concentration in Neuroscience.
